The Tech Subject Matter Expert (SME)/Mortgage Scrum/Agile lead is responsible for providing subject expertise and guidance alongside the engineering function. The Tech SME has expert knowledge in one or more specific business domains products or applications. The Tech SME has niche skills and they are responsible to oversee the development, testing and implementation of the overall solutions for the business that leverage our technology.

As our Agile Lead you will:

 

  • Responsible for research analysis of complex data ensuring functional design of assigned projects are accurate

  • Participate in meetings with lines of business to identify their requirements and provide feedback to clients regarding business requirements to ensure technology applications support internal/external customer needs and products/services as provided by lines of business

  • Review business requirements with technology team to ensure understanding of project requirements

  • Participate in design discussions and ensure required functional specifications are delivered

  • Coordinate and provide estimates for technical projects and complete estimates for assigned component for projects, inclusive of timelines and project phases

  • Participate in and document data mapping for integration of systems, conversion and acquisition-related projects to understand how applications may need to change or be impacted by enterprise-wide initiatives, like regulatory requirements, other system enhancements or business initiatives

  • Ensure efficient and timely resolution of issues arising from testing or implementation to ensure expected performance. Ensure issues, incidences and questions are documented

  • Responsible for taking lead in resolving production incidents from functional point of view

  • Proactively taking lead for any application/functional fixes or wherever functional involvement would help them

    For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $100,400.00 and $150,600.00

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requisitos

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

 

  • Must have knowledge in Agile Project Management skills, including practical knowledge of Digital Jira, Confluence and Microsoft tools (ie: Excel, Visio, etc.)

  • Proven experience in project management; combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics/systems development experience

  • Strong Scrum Master Skills including be not limited to the following: Clearing obstacles, Establishing an environment where the team can be effective, Addressing team dynamics, Ensuring a good relationship between the team and product manager as well as others outside the team, Protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions

  • Mortgage knowledge/experience highly desirable

  • Excellent communication skills and proven experience working in a team environment
