We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Finance Manager. 

Principal Responsibilities

In this role, you will

  • Undertake the timely provision of accurate and reconciled financial information and produce, process, analyse and validate financial and Management data for key stakeholder reporting purposes
  • Prepare accounting journals required for financial or regulatory disclosure purposes, for internal management review and support management to provide first line analysis of variances and drivers primarily to the Partnering & Insight and Governance & Control
  • Respond to regular and ad hoc data and report requests from key finance and non-finance customers
  • Ensure that all reporting and analysis is provided to key stakeholders by deadlines
  • Ensure all work undertaken complies with HSBC policies, procedures and work practices
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of accounting records. Ensure accounting practice in comply with local accounting principle and regulatory requirements
  • Make sure the financial records are in consistent with business information stored in core system
  • Support the business to implement recommendations provided by internal/external auditors and regulators to strengthen the controls framework
Requisitos

To be successful you will need

  • Bachelor‘s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Solid knowledge in insurance business, accounting, reporting and finance systems and technologies are highly preferred
  • Qualified member from any recognizable professional accountancy bodies (e.g. ACA/CPA etc.) is preferred
  • Strong accounting knowledge and problem solving skill
  • Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and changing priorities
  • Excellent team player, able to lead others into action, and with ability to work under minimal supervision with good communication skills in English (both written and spoken) and self-motivation
