We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Assistant Manager Finance.

Principal Responsibilities 

  • Provide assistance in managing the operations of the Financial Reporting section and provides accurate and timely financial reporting for the Bank to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and other relevant authorities.
  • Ensures accurate and timely submission of the Bank’s returns and additional information to BNM; Audit comm and competitor analysis 
    to senior management and director, and other ad-hoc reports to BNM and other stakeholders.
  • Planning, preparing, interpreting, analyzing, commenting and submitting financial reports on a timely basis to senior management, 
    BNM and other relevant authorities.
  • Assists in the preparation of interim and annual statutory account.
  • Assisting in coordination submission of statutory accounts in accordance with requirements of BNM.
  • On-going education in respect of Malaysian and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and liaison with BNM and external auditors.
  • Ensures effective support to senior management.
  • Collating and providing commentary and variance reporting, as well as competitor bank analysis. 
  • Contributes to the Bank’s profitability.
  • Providing management with prompt data/information for decision making purposes.
  • Ensure development and performance of his/her staff.
  • Resolving staff problems, reviewing training need and counseling.

Requisitos
  • An undergraduate or post graduate degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Subject matter expertise in financial reporting with 2 years of related experience.  
  • Understands and anticipates strategic implications from financial accounting.  
  • A high level of professional competence which helps to determine solutions around financial accounting procedures, controls, risk management and quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of system is a definite advantage.
  • Keep abreast of latest financial accounting environment and changes and anticipative of impacts to the Bank. 
  • Ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at the most senior level in the organization.  Able to influence without authority.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management in the language of business.
