The position lies within the Cash Equities in Market Operations. The job holder is responsible to support middle office activities specifically in the broker matching space. This role includes managing primary objective of driving operational excellence across our business globally.

The Opportunity:

  • The settlement process will support the Sector, Program Trading and Sales desks for the Cash Equities business.
  • The role holder covers day to day management responsibilities of the instruction Matching team is responsible for all instruction are matched and settle in market.    
  • The role holder acts as the point of contact for the trading desk and liaison with internal departments (client service, front / middle office, settlements, finance etc.).
  • As a result, you support the equity franchise with their institutional clients on a daily basis and reduce risk and escalate when necessary.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the settlement exception for both Asia and MENA markets and regions. Actively follow up with relevant stakeholder and clients until resolution.
  • Managing both Nostro and Stock breaks and all breaks must be Investigated and narrated.
  • Actively monitoring the funding of accounts and send funding request to cash management and desk if any.
  • Actively monitoring the client query via Q-track and respond to client within reasonable time frames.

  • Awareness and appreciation to operations risk and control and exception management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients/stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a hands on approach to identify opportunities of process improvement.
  • Follow formal escalation framework across all aspects of Operations i.e. operational and systemic related risks.

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Flexibility to work in hybrid shifts if needed.
  • A degree in Business or Finance would be preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and support multiple stakeholders.
  • Able to work in a demanding and time sensitive environment.
