We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Statry and Group Reporting Manager MHQ - HASE FIN REG REPORTING.
Principal responsibilities
This role will focus on completion of statutory and group financial and regulatory reports, with coordination local data providers and communication with HASE counterparties.
The role holder will:
- Preparation/checking of report timely and accurately as per local statutory requirements and group instructions. The process involves handling of various data, including data from GL (ie. Hub) and other systems, as well as customer data/transaction breakdown collected from data providers.
- Perform analytical review for critical reports, including benchmark/cross checking with local regulatory reports and communication with stakeholders, to ensure report quality.
- Keep knowledge of bank data end to end process / platform / procedure for report preparation in effective manner and coordinate with data providers, eg. credit operations, BUs, other teams in FIN, to submit consolidated reports as required.
- Assist in improvement of the reporting procedures through automation project or application of data tools(eg. Python) and enhancement of control to achieve changing requirement.
- Assist in the implementation of new/updated accounting standards issued by local authority and required by Group.
- Bachelor degree or above in Accounting or Finance relate.
- At least 5 years working experience in financial institution or international audit firm (with exposure to banking industry).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability of planning and problem solving, ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and in both English and Chinese and teamwork.
- Proficient in MS Office, priority will be given to those with Python/Access skills.
Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
