Role Purpose:
The role holder will join the DCS Operations management function and will work closely with the Global and regional Operations lead to deliver a globally efficient and controlled operating model. Experience and knowledge in both Exchange Listed Derivatives and Cleared OTC products is required.
The role will have direct functional, and entity reports for Trade Management function and will have direct peer interaction with regional entity leads based in the US, Hong Kong, and the UK to deliver a cohesive and efficient global operating model.
The role will have direct interaction with key business stakeholders to develop and lead a regional operating model to support the DCS business strategy and will represent DCS Operations at regional entity-based Governance forums.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the operational processing environment contained within a Clearing Broker for Listed and OTC Cleared Products and have existing team management /leadership capabilities. The role requires the candidate to independently work with the local and regional management, team members and stakeholders to deliver a robust and efficient operations function.
This role requires decision making responsibility to the extent that it impacts the task at hand and in helping to design solutions to control gaps. Needs to work independently and formulate an opinion their own based on evidence. Able to clearly articulate and challenge supervisors on control deficiencies and recommend improvements to the deficiencies.
Main Activities
The primary responsibility of the Margin Specialist Clearing Operations is to support margin settlements with clients for both Futures and OTC Clearing.
Provide support to Futures Operations. Responsibilities include the following:
Understanding of Vendor platforms required. TREATS, Broadridge, ALGO etc.
Manage daily margin calls to Swap CCP’s including ICE, CME and LCH.
Reconcile CCP settlements and balances.
Manage daily margin settlements for OCC business.
Generate daily margin statement for portfolio margin client on OCC.
Coordinate funding and collateral allocation/optimization with the business and Balance sheet management
Trade processing of Exchange Traded Derivatives at a top tier broker or Investment Bank
Understanding of Vendor platforms required. TREATS, Broadridge, ALGO etc.
Exposure to XTP/R&N’s operating platform or similar product
5 + years of experience in Clearing or Futures related roles preferred.
