We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President , Organisational Due Diligence

Business: Wealth & Personal Banking

Principal responsibilities

  • Assume coverage of an assigned set of fund management groups located in India, the US and EMEA, identifying and assessing operational risk issues prior to on-boarding and on an annual / maintenance cycle once approved. This will include, but not be limited to:
  • Dissemination and review of HSBC’s proprietary and questionnaire
  • Conducting due diligence meetings with senior non-investment professionals at the fund management group
  • Producing Organisational Due Diligence reports that clearly articulate an opinion on fund management groups’ processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Identifying potential reputational risks that the Group may be exposed to by recommending the manager’s funds.
  • Monitor news flow around fund management groups under coverage with timely preparation of notes providing clear views and recommendations on the impact of corporate events, financial results, regulatory / legal actions etc.
  • Track identified risk issues across fund management groups on a quarterly basis through to resolution
Requisitos
  • Proven expertise in analysing funds, asset management companies, hedge fund companies or banking institutions in a similar due diligence or fund research function.
  • A good understanding of the role that entities play in regulating financial markets.
  • An analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Team player, strong stakeholder management, communication and writing skills
  • Proactive, positive attitude and ability to multi-task especially under pressure to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Practical knowledge / experience of financial markets, macroeconomic environment, risk management, regulations and their application to the financial markets is desirable
  • Professional qualifications / certifications like a CFA or Master’s degree are a positive
