We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as a Associate, Business Management, Finance and Planning.
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide effective support to Global Businesses and GCOO Leadership teams on matters relating to planning and development of business strategies as well as implementation of key initiatives and projects to deliver strategic targets and objectives. In addition to this mandate, the job holder is also expected to actively contribute to projects and initiatives to support global businesses and functions, and facilitate the required collaboration and synergies among in-country, regional and/or global stakeholders.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Manage and/or support the business planning process to collectively identify, agree and validate country strategic priorities and actions with relevant Business Heads. This may include financial, technological and resource planning
- Contribute to senior management decision making by use of management information, performance information, analytics, forums and stakeholder feedback
- Participate and provide support in forums and committees to represent view of business area which may include financials and strategic initiatives
- Support the development and monitoring of internal governance activities
- Investigating and seeking remedies for discrete issues which may be adversely affecting business unit performance
- Lead and/or assist with the execution of business initiatives and projects including from Group and Region in support of business to ensure timely action and delivery of the deployment of plans
- Evaluate and analyse management information relating to internal and external service providers of their provision, monitor their performance and ensure service level agreements are honoured
- Collaborate with relevant business heads and other key stakeholders to implement initiatives/projects

Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Strong communications, project management, organizational, strategic planning, analytical, mathematical, decision-making and leadership skills
- Strong business acumen and ability to continually make sound decisions and identify growth opportunities
- Proven track record in leading and managing change, particularly given the organization’s continually evolving nature
- Ability to seek out and improve on best practice and capability
- Sound understanding of the HSBC business, network, customer segments, products offered and competitive market
- Ability to build long-term relationships with all stakeholders (employees, peers, etc.)
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently when required
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude and an ability to take ownership of tasks through to completion
