We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Infrastructure Specialist. 

Business: CTO Infrastructure

Principal responsibilities

  • Provide Engineering Leadership across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, managing virtual teams to utilise their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand.
  • Deliver the above while complying with HSBC goverance & control frameworks.
  • End-to-end accountability for a at least one application in Customer Data Insights service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey.
  • Lead engineers, architects and business stakeholders, to understand and drive the product or service's direction delivering innovation and customer delight. Inline with the CDI Tooling EcoSystem.
  • Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data.
  • Create technical test plans and records, including unit, integration &functional tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality.
  • Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release/change.
  • Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service.
  • Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.
  • Responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline.
  • Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable.
Requisitos
  • Strong technical knowledge of a range of programming languages including Python and/or Java Skills, Visualisation Tools (e.g. Looker, Splunk). We don’t expect you to be an expert in all of these but can demonstrate some foundational skills and willingness to learn.
  • Expert in Programme and Data governance including Data Visa, cloud hosting and IT Service Acceptance.
  • Platform experience in environments like Kubernetes or GCP.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and business problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in an unstructured and changing environment.
  • Ability to continually question and reduce costs.
  • Leading and directing executive and non-executive work groups and effecting change through people.
  • Managing operational functions, directing process re-engineering and efficiency exercises.
  • Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across all 5 regions (North America, LATAM, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe.
  • Proven track record of developing and launching successful technology products and services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends.

 

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
