We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist

In this role you will:

  • Cloud Architecture & Design: Lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on AWS, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management

  • CI/CD Pipelines: Architect and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS Code Pipeline, or equivalent, ensuring seamless and secure application delivery.

  • Cloud Security: Enforce cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001), and vulnerability management.

  • Containerization & Orchestration: Design and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS), ensuring scalability, resilience, and security.

  • Monitoring & Optimization : Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent tools to ensure system reliability and performance. 

  • Collaboration & Leadership : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security, to enhance cloud-based solutions. Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Incident Management & Troubleshooting : Lead incident response efforts, troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues, and optimize system performance. 

Requisitos

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 15+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud engineering and platform development.
  • Proven expertise in designing and managing large-scale, secure AWS environments.
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments (e.g., Azure, GCP) is a plus
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudFront, API gateway and IAM.
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
  • Expertise in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as – Splunk, AppDynamics, and AWS CloudWatch.
  • Familiarity with serverless architectures and event-driven systems.
  • Deep understanding of DevSecOps principles, including secure CI/CD pipelines, vulnerability scanning, and compliance automation.
  • Experience with security frameworks and tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF, and KMS
  • AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, or equivalent are highly preferred
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to guide teams and drive technical excellence
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and ways of working
  • Strong understanding of lean and agile methods of software delivery
  • Agile Tooling – Jira, Confluence
