We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.
Business: Core Banking - OBS HK
Principal responsibilities
- Plan and Control: reviewing and monitoring the progress of project, conducting periodic meetings with all teams / customers, review the project plans, resource allocation and milestones.
- Delivery Management: perform technology leadership role, thorough understanding of business and domain
- Quality, Productivity and Risk Management: Conduct periodic review with internal quality auditor / associate engineering manager, software engineering team leader and monitor quality, procedures being followed, ensure optimize utilization of resources, participate in audit to close audit points, deliver considering the operational risk associated with the role.
- People Management: Implement Performance Management Plan as per organization standards. Mentor / Coach people to becoming high performing teams. Identify and groom talent and have a career plan for team members. Succession planning. Job rotation. Identify training (technical/soft/domain) needs considering current and future. Manage attrition. Competency building.
- Communication: Must be able to provide expert consultancy to customers. Provide project status updates to management and customer. Influence stakeholder to ensure successful project delivery.
- Maintain HSBC Internal Control Standards including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by internal and external regulators.
Requisitos
- Lead a team of 30 to 60 software professionals at various levels, by allocating and monitoring work amongst the team members and ensuring success of the project.
- Ensure that team members are trained in the required technical skills (e.g. CICS, COBOL, Assembler and DB2) and OBS Domain knowledge.
- Built up Testing Automation, Continuous Integration process for OBS applications in China.
- Need to manage teams across geographies and play an effective on-site / offshore coordinator role whenever required. Negotiate with customers in terms of costing and delivery.
