We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Business: CTO Infrastructure

Principal responsibilities

  • Design and engineer software with the customer/user experience as a key objective.
  • Actively contributes to Technology Engineering Practice by sharing Subject Matter Expertise from their area of specialism, best practice and learnings.
  • Drives adherence to all standards and policies within their area of Technology Engineering.
  • Delivery and support of data related infrastructure and architecture to optimize data storage and consumption across the bank, including addressing functional and non-functional requirements relevant to data in large applications.
  • Design and develop applications for internal and external users focusing on the interface and front-end usability of the application.
  • Engineer and implement security measures for the protection of internal and external systems, networks, products and services.
  • Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data.
  • Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.
  • Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.
  • Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant controls and standards
  • Work with Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, Platform Architect and Technical Leads to turn overall business requirements into more detailed stories which are progressed by the teams.
  • In addition to the above, the role holder is will be familiar with the overall architecture design and integrity of engineering platform that support PCE products, services & customer journeys.
  • Work with Platform Architect to ensure cloud platform architecture reflects the needs of the product offering and associated enterprise-wide requirements and working closely with the architecture function and the solution architects to ensure alignment.
  • Work with Platform Architect, Platform Product Owner, and Technical Product Manager to create platform roadmaps & ensuring cost effective, compliant and appropriate architectures are developed.
Requisitos
  • Have in-depth functional and non-functional knowledge of cloud platforms & native services, specifically GCP and ALI.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of container-based services and microservices architectures.
  • Have in-depth understanding of modern development and associated tooling, integration, technology patterns and practices to design, build and continuously improve an automated end-to-end delivery.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, modern deployment, and release methodologies including automated configuration, and provisioning at scale.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to positively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Communication within the team is mainly in English.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrable resilience and ‘can-do’ attitude.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
