We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers specialized in Python, Pyspark, K8S, Visualization tools and DevOps engineering.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and budget & timeline requirement, manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed, and timely escalate major project risks & issues to senior managers.
- Manage expectations and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team, ensure best practices in coding, testing and deployment are followed.
- Ensure the solution is reviewed and approved in the required governance forums, ensure FSA alignment is reviewed and embedded in the solution design.
- Know and own the GRAS metrics for the supported service, embed the risk and control requirement into all ongoing delivery, understand the strategic intent and contribute to the departmental level metrics.
- Own incident and problem management for the services, resolving IT issues and minimizing disruptions to maintain service continuity, implement root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team remains completive and innovative.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a technical environment.
- 8+ years related experience in IT industry (Financial Service), particularly in Risk and Analytics areas.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid and proficient skills in public cloud (GCP/AWS) and programming language (Python/Java).
- Experience in delivering project across different platforms like Linux, Windows, K8S
- Experience in different ELT technology like Alteryx, Pyspark, Datastage or SAS.
- Experience in different Visualization technologies like Pydash, Tabelau, Superset, Looker or Qilksense.
- Proven experience on design and implement DevOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipeline. Experience on design and implement Kubernetes solution and related cloud native tooling.
- Possess hand on project management with Agile – Scrum methodology discipline.
- Able to operate well across cultures and in multi-cultural, diverse work environments.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Working experience in Risk and Analytics area is a plus.
