We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering. 

Business: CIB - GPS Technology

Principal responsibilities

  • Understand Group and CIB strategy, help define technical strategy and execute which to fulfill business needs and aspirations on growth, management and control.
  • Develop comprehensive program plans, including defining program scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align program goals with organizational strategies and priorities. Identify and assess program risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure proactive risk management throughout the program lifecycle.
  • -Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Coordinate and integrate the efforts of various project teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and resource allocation. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners. Facilitate regular meetings and workshops to ensure clear understanding of program requirements, progress, and issues. Prepare and present program reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate program status, risks, and achievements.
  • Manage supply and demand pipeline and give guidance, direction for making decision to achieve goals, deliver products that align with business core interest.
  • Plan for people and project management, provide coaching and guiding directly or indirectly to teams having developers, testers, analyst and architects inside by giving clear direction, feedback and timely suggestions to ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices
Requisitos
  • Minimal 10+ years’ experience of software developments with both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Proven experience in program management, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex programs and projects.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, with the capability to translate organizational goals into actionable program plans.
  • Have experience leading and managing agile, cross function delivery teams encompassing 30+ staff (direct and indirect repartees).
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, assess risks, and develop effective solutions.
  • Knowledge on DevOps, Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), Agile control Framework.
  • Are passionate about technology and look for opportunities to learn & bring new ideas to the team.
  • Demonstrable ability to mentor, develop talent and motivate staff to reach their optimum performance levels and career development.
  • Excellent knowledge of their technical environment and will have significant responsibility in setting the way forward in the types of technology they look after. Forward thinking, making the right decisions based on strategy.
