We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Responsibilities
Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilizing their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand.
End to end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey
Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service’s direction.
Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data.
Create technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality.
Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end to end journeys, ensuring they have an excellent domain knowledge.
Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release / change.
Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team,
Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.
Responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Establish strategic technology roadmap that meet business development plan
Work in agile / devops environments
Facilitate sharing and alignment of knowledge & best practice with IT areas
Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable
10+ years of IT experience in financial industry of including IT architecture
Preferably with experience in development and project management roles
Experience in development and support of mission critical business applications a plus
Experience in strategic planning on IT application/technology roadmap
8+ years of proven industry experience working customer facing web /app projects
Have experience in API design, review and construction, e.g. Swagger UI, Spring MVC, Sprint Boot, Spring Cloud, MQ, Mule API, Javascript, React, DB2, Mongo DB, Hibernate, etc.
Knowledge of e2e customer facing application design / solution to ensure security, performance and etc.
Familiar with web / app integration with ui decoupling design.
Have willingness to act as technical architect to resolve engineering issue, define clear role & responsibility for each components for specific project.
Mobile app development or project experience will be much prefer.
Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
Ability to explain complex technical solutions to audiences at different technical knowledge
Ability to articulate business case for IT investments to business
Build relationships with senior/key stakeholders rapidly
Fluent English communication with English speakers from different countries
Sound knowledge of Fintect and innovative technologies, design patterns and keep abreast of latest technology trends
Experience in designing complex distributed / service oriented / micro services style and cloud based systems, with focus on scalability, maintainability and extensibility
Experience in designing integrations between different systems, working with different teams and driving an agreement on the technologies and methods to use
