The Business Development Officer drives the financial and strategic performance of clients who work with HSBC on both the Private and Wholesale (CIB) sides of the Bank. The role coordinates the flow of revenue and clients between GPB & CIB and grows the income generated from those mutual customers, with an aim of both widening and deepening the relationship with the Group. The role may also include collaboration activities across GPB & Premier (US & International)

As our Business Development Manager you will:

  • Have the Ability to manage/influence internally within IWPB US (especially in terms of client management and coverage) and also across Business Lines 
  • Share best practice with other GPB Countries and with CIB counterparts
  • Ensure a sustainable approach to identifying and tracking dual banked CIB customers is implemented
  • Ensure Head of International and Collaboration has appropriate material/grass roots insight to effectively manage the governance process with IWPB & CIB, ensuring infrastructure in place to promote/support Collaboration strategy, and tracks progress against pipeline taking corrective action as required
  • Build local stakeholder support for Collaboration through highly effective navigation and communication, mobilizing resources effectively 
  • Transform Collaboration into a business from it current functional role, including financial reporting and sales/activity management infrastructure and culture

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $125,600.00 and $188,300.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requisitos

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Proven track record in project management
  • Highly organised and able to act independently
  • Well developed presentation and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills are critical and the ability to develop cohesive working relationships with business partners
  • Ability to influence staff without direct reporting lines
  • Stakeholder management including executive presence
  • Commercially minded and customer focused
  • Experience of the interpretation, manipulation and presentation of numeric data
  • IT literate, especially around powerpoint and excel
  • Clear understanding of the major financial products and services available in the private banking industry and detailed knowledge of the Retail WPB, CMB/GBM propositions
  • Knowledge and broad contact base within HSBC Group and specifically in Retail WPB, and CIB
