We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Business Development, Pensions.

Principal Responsibilities

• Pensions Expertise: Provide high quality narratives and market update to our Pensions stakeholders across MPF and ORSO accounts
• Business Development: Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the pension sector. Develop and implement strategies to expand the client base and enhance market presence
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert guidance on pension products and services. Act as the primary point of contact for existing clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Sales Support: Assist in the preparation of sales presentations, proposals, and marketing materials. Provide training and support to sales representatives on pension products and industry trends to enhance their effectiveness in the field
• Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities for growth. Utilize insights to inform business strategies and product offerings
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including compliance, product, operations, and marketing, to ensure seamless execution of pension business initiatives. Foster a collaborative environment to drive overall business success
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry standards affecting pension products. Ensure that all business practices adhere to compliance requirements and best practices
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, client feedback, and market trends. Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable strategies

• Strong interest in investment markets, macroeconomics, and data analytics, particularly as they relate to pension products
• Broad understanding of major asset classes and investment strategies relevant to the pension industry
• Excellent presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences with varying levels of investment expertise
• Detail-oriented with a creative mindset, capable of thinking outside the box to develop innovative solutions
• Proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with market data platforms, including Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and Morningstar Direct
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
• CFA charter holder and/or other relevant professional qualifications are a plus
