We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Business Finance - Partnering and Insight - HASE FIN REG REPORTING.

Principal responsibilities

Impact on the Business / Function

  • To maintain the Bank Group’s management accounting systems in providing timely operating performance and profitability reports at various dimensions to meet HSBC Group’s reporting requirement / Bank’s internal reporting needs
  • To ensure timely production of i) HSBC Group reporting package, business performance reports, and related reports for submission to ASP FIN/GMO; ii) Bank Group’s financial reports including statutory customer group financial statement and published material relating to interim and financial results announcements
  • To perform periodic and ad-hoc review of the Bank’s business operations and prepare management information that suit Group reporting requirement
  • To perform periodic financial performance analysis in various dimension: customer groups, divisions and products
  • To assist in performing product paper review and ensure proper management accounting reporting for business that follows Group reporting requirement
  • To facilitate the completion of annual statutory audit.

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Maintain positive working relationship with Group counterparts and business units
  • Work as a business partner with business units, provide useful and timely financial management information for pricing and business decision
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements, papers to ALCO members, EXCO members, various committees and public.

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • To assist in performing periodic review for SOX compliance.
  • Ensure that all control measures relevant to the job responsibilities are undertaken to minimize the risk exposure of the Bank/division/departments/subsidiaries.
  • Manage operational risk, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and controls, loss identification and reporting.  
Requisitos

The principle regulations and policies under which the jobholder operates are the various Group Standards and Manuals on management reporting, economic capital, liquidity recharge policy, transfer pricing mechanism, etc. 

The jobholder needs to act independently with excellent problem solving ability to face the day to day challenges from HSBC group.  The jobholder needs to have excellent management skills in leading and monitoring his/her sub-teams to drive for high performance after receiving the directions from line manager / senior management and is responsible for exercising discretion in discharging his/her duties.  These include, but not exclusive,

  • Verifying the accuracy of information for Group reporting purposes
  • Applying different financial analysis techniques for product / performance evaluation
  • Planning and scheduling ahead the work
  • Observe service standards
  • Participating enhancement projects for any Group’s initiative, such as new reporting requirement, implementation of new systems, change in business needs, etc.

Policy matters that have significant influences will be referred to line manager.

The jobholder also maintains regular interactions among the teammates in the section, with other sections and department heads of various departments and provides them with professional advice and analyses on management information related issues.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
