We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our IWPB team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
In this role, you will:
The Client Tax Reporting Manager will sit within the FCCS team and will support the Head of Client Risk Management in the effective management of Client Tax reporting activities for WPB UAE. This will include:
• Oversee and contribute to the CTR programme within the business, working with the relevant country and regional/global stakeholders.
• Liaise with Executive level stakeholders both inside and outside of the CTR Programme
• Liaise with CTR programme managers and Regional Leads as required.
• Communicate, enable, and mobilise WPB/GPB’s activity required to support its CTR responsibilities.
• Production of stakeholder reports periodically and, on an ad, -hoc basis to the WPB/GPB CTR and country Execution Lead
• Input into communication and training materials spanning internal and external stakeholders ensuring they are fit for purpose.
• Adoption and implementation of common, Group processes, aimed at adopting group best practice in the region.
• Oversee CTR Quality Control and Quality Assurance results along with associated remediation.
• To ensure significant, current, and emerging operational risks and internal control issues are escalated appropriately.
• Oversee Audit & 2nd Line of Defence reviews along with associated remediation.
• Support WPB initiatives and provide subject matter expertise to wider FCCS, WPB and Compliance teams where applicable.
• Ensure that internal and external regulatory requirements are met.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
Knowledge / Experience
• Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
• Experience of managing resources in senior roles to achieve objectives using appropriate communication delegation and planning skills.
• Ability to use strong judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems whilst maintaining budgets, time scales and quality of output.
• Able to cope with pressure and tight deadlines and be change oriented.
• Excellent written communication skills – ability to clearly document the current state and the recommendations.
• Ability to build connections and work collaboratively across the Group.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large scale business initiatives– ideally in the regulatory space related to customer account opening/due diligence, within a Retail Banking & Wealth Management context.
