We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Business: Markets & Sec Services Tech

Principal responsibilities

  • Project management compliance of critical vulnerability by working with Cyber Security, MSS and TR technology teams.
  • Candidates will be expected to form strong relationships with technology teams, business and senior management.
  • Lead and coordinate vulnerability management and patching i.e. identifying, evaluating, treating and reporting vulnerabilities on a variety of TR IT systems. Ensuring various configuration items owned by/ affecting TR IT are on relevant recommended OS/firmware/vendor software versions.
  • Help the team continue on our journey of growing the operational risk framework across the department.
  • Ensure vulnerabilities and risks are within the appetite of senior management, both from the business and technology functions.
  • Ensure patching schedule and requirements are regularly communicated across the department and frequent sessions are arranged to resolve any blockers, issues.
  • Ensure appropriate governance is in place for non-compliance for all control
  • Assist in driving the continued improvement of existing processes and adapting to new ways of working is key to this role, enabling continual small gains to contribute to the evolution of our framework.
  • Participate in both Group and MSS wide programs, along with TR IT departmental initiatives, all for improving the risk position of the bank.
  • Promote and provide guidance on relevant policies, standards and governance within MSS.
  • Represent Traded Risk IT in Risk & Control Forums and Working Groups.
Requisitos
  • Candidate will preferably have project management experience.
  • Experience with the operational risk management framework at an enterprise level.
  • Excellent communicating to senior stakeholders and Audit teams, both internal and External, and be able to provide details depending on the audience.
  • Excellent understanding of vulnerability management i.e. identifying, evaluating, treating and reporting vulnerabilities on a variety of systems running on virtual and physical servers, containers, databases, firewalls, switches and so on.
  • Excellent engaging the patching schedule and requirements with well planning and blocker resolution.
  • Quick learner with a desire to become an SME for specific controls.
  • Sound analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable being able to handle and prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a desire to find ways to continually improve the service we deliver.

    

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Domain knowledge on Traded Risk or financial related.
  • Fluent English oral communication.
  • IT Development Experience and Programming Languages (e.g. Java, J2EE, Python, UNIX/Linux/shell scripting)
