We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Business: CIB - GTS Technology

Principal responsibilities

• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing live production services globally for supply chain finance related services / applications and accountable for support of the production services during a dedicated time zone. (e.g. Incident/batch/release management, request fulfillment, system DR).
• Monitor the healthiness of production systems and recover the systems as quickly as possible when incidents occur and provide on-call support on production services with the aim to recover services from outage at the earliest and avoid recurrence of same Incident.
• Participate in production incident / Firefight and work with different teams to analyze and trouble-shoot all kind of production system issues to recovery service.
• Participate in system releases and post-release incident management and reporting and communicate with business users on the system status.
• Document support procedures and system knowledge for knowledge management in a global scale, such as process automation, service improvements, identifying root cause and fixing production bug by collaborating with different teams across the global and Incident prevention.
• Work on various monitoring tools gives a solid exposure where can progress on to become a tooling SME.
• Improve the way of working, open to creative way of work, be proactive to spot issue, instead of assertive on task assignment.

• Solid Production Support, Operations knowledge, Incident management and problem management experience.
• Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with business-critical server application support will be an advantage.
• Good exposure and solid understanding of Web based Application Support in a multi-tier architecture within Banking domain.
• Hands on experience on SQL (Oracle database) and UNIX / Shell scripting, knowledge on application and Oracle database performance tuning is a plus, Python based automation is a plus.
• Experience in any Industry standard Application Performance Monitoring Tool such as App Dynamics, Control-M, Plexus Splunk, and other internal ticketing Tool e.g. RTC / ServiceNow.
• Background/previous experience on Java and Spring framework, experience on Spring Boot and Spring Cloud is a plus.
• Understanding of Micro-services, REST APIs and integration with Mule Gateway, AnyPoint, IKP is a plus.
• Sense of urgency, pro-activeness, able to work independently to meet deadlines and under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

What additional skills will be good to have? 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in Agile methodologies, including Scrum or SAFe.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Self-motivated, positive, and flexible, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team.
