We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. 

Business: CTO Infrastructure

Principal responsibilities

  • Help the Asia Pacific File Transmissions team in administering MFT infrastructure, activities include onboarding/demising partners, monitoring health of application servers, deploying applications on servers, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Work under own initiative with management guidance to define standards, implement and test solutions related to the File Transmissions technologies.
  • Understand business, environments, shared services to prioritize incidents.
  • Meet the delivery standards as per the agreement that includes quality of deliverables, appropriate documentation.
  • Participate in all technical tasks defined for the team including POCs and Evergreening work.
  • Enterprise focus building solutions with an emphasis on sustainability, supportability, stability and robustness including disaster recovery features.
  • Promote and Improve best practices while addressing technical and operational issues and risks Interact with application teams and other infrastructure teams.so he/she is aware of and raise ongoing infrastructure issues and vigilant to avoid / minimize downtime of services.
  • Proactively identify problem situations, review the problems, engage associates to plan for investigation, and resolution within SLAs.
  • Participate in crisis calls as applicable, educate the team on the required etiquette while work through MIRs and SIPs.
  • Understand the set objectives and work collaboratively with the team to achieve organizational goals.
  • Contribute towards mentoring of the resources, enhancing their technical ability, guiding them for new processes and procedures, mentoring for competency preparations.
  • Be part of a troubleshooting roster providing out of office hours support for production support issues in later phases.
  • Develop scripts and configure tools to automate housekeeping and monitoring, including capacity management and planning, backup and job scheduling.
  • Conduct performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Maintain High-Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
  • Work closely with application teams and provide consultancy services and technical advice if required.
  • Create and maintain product installations, configurations and administration documentation.
  • Globalization and roadmap analysis.
  • Aid with expert-level infrastructure design standards.
  • Analyze, scope, design and implement solutions for complex projects.
  • Actively participate with different technical functions (Operational and Design) in defining scope, early awareness of products/capabilities, PoCs, technical/operational analysis and choices for current and new technologies.
  • Conduct infrastructure implementation, administration and support.
  • Weekend working will also be expected and will be rota-based.
  • Create / maintain knowledge base through documentation in confluence, Zoom sessions, managing effective usage and access control.
  • Support the security audit remediation and related testing.
  • Ensure strict adherence HSBC Group Compliance Policies.
  • Working with disparate and demanding client groups.
  • Help and mentor and develop the team to ensure they approach work in a logical manner and achieve success.
  • Adhere to HSBC policy, procedures and control requirements applicable to day-to-day working.
    Requisitos
    • University graduate with a relevant IT degree.
    • Experience with Managed File Transmission technologies / products.
    • Knowledge of file transfer protocols (e.g. sFTP, FTPS, C:D, AS2, HTTPS) and products.
    • Knowledge of cryptography / key management (SSL/TLS, SSH, PGP/GPG etc.) and data security.
    • Wide experience of operational management of systems.
    • Leading and delivering change to processes and systems.
    • A strong level of IT literacy, including a broad knowledge of IT infrastructure (operating systems, networking, security).
    • Knowledge of platform environments on which file transmissions services is run.
    • A self-motivated team player with good project management skills.
    • Able to think “outside the box”.
    • Effective communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
    • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Able to work occasionally during out of office hours, including weekend days and nights.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and on multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Good time management and prioritization of tasks.
    • Excellent communication skills that are effective within a globally distributed team.
    • Ability to build good working relationships with application teams and other IT service teams.
    • Proven ability to build infrastructural solutions from Clear Choice through to go-live services.
    • Proven experience in a production operations capacity with Disaster Recovery and High-Availability solutions.
    • Diagnosis and resolution of IBM Sterling product service issues in test and in production environments.
    • Exposure in various IT domains and platforms.
    • Familiar with DevOps tools – ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, Ansible.
    • Cloud(GCP/AWS/Azure/ACP) and Kubernetes/Containerization experience is favorable.
    • Knowledge with DevOps POD implementation and Agile – Scrum methodology discipline. Previous Scrum Master experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of end-to-end digital banking solutions.
    • Experience managing a team and the performance of individuals against performance objectives and project or programe plan.
    • Be comfortable with navigating ambiguity and proactively drive outcomes.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with our technical and business stakeholders.
    • A pragmatic approach to providing solution-based advice/guidance, with our customer's needs front of mind.
    • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • The ability to manage self-workload, set and meet customer expectations.
    • Strong sense of 'do the right thing' in relation to standards and governance.

    Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
