We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Business: CTO Data Technology

Principal responsibilities

The role holder is responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting large datasets across the bank to identify commonalities, specific journey related data-sets and valuable insights. The analyst will use a variety of technical tools and methodologies to support the business, improve efficiency, and inform strategic decisions.

• Identify, understand and analyse data-sets from various primary and secondary sources within the bank (Onboarding, KYC, Products, Tax etc)
• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot data systems and databases.
• Implement data governance policies and ensure data quality and integrity.
• Abstract and aggregate data to prepare it for analysis.
• Ensure data-sets are "fit for purpose" and ready for modelling.
• Communicate complex findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
• Collaborate with various teams (e.g., product owners, engineering, testing, system owners) to understand data requirements and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Present reports and findings to leadership to support strategic decision-making.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to automate data analysis
• Recommend process improvements based on data analysis.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of data analysis, data mapping and requirements gathering processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex data to diverse audiences.
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Requisitos

Technical Skills:
• Hands-on experience in driving software development, with a strong understanding of technical processes and systems.
• Knowledge of integration technologies (e.g., APIs, Springboot).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to gather, analyse, and interpret data.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail with ability to consider alternative and innovative solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Communication and Soft Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex data to diverse audiences.
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Functional Knowledge
• Outstanding understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviours, processes and objectives.
• Proven ability managing technology infrastructure in a large and complex operational environment; experienced at leveraging key tools (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Agile) to drive client-focused performance.
• Proven ability in successfully designing and implementing large-scale, complex global / regional change initiatives
• Experience in front line, customer-facing IT systems and platforms.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels and to individuals across business and functions.
• Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment especially in the financial services sector.

• Leadership, management, collaboration with experience of leading and directing cultural change within a large organization.
• Strong relationship management and influencing skills, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels.
