Due to our focus on growth we have a new Corporate Sales Associate role available within our Markets and Securities Services (MSS) division reporting to the Director, Corporate Sales. MSS is one of the largest of its kind in the world and are responsible for serving our Corporate franchise that sits within our wholesale banking, product and services teams within Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) covering clients in Australia & New Zealand.
In this role you will primarily service the group’s transactional clients, addressing their requirements through the execution of flow product, primarily Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Markets. You will deliver MSS products and where available find opportunities to streamline execution for clients through delivery of HSBC’s digital capabilities. You will engage with MSS colleagues globally within Asia, Europe and the Americas.
You will apply your ability to operate under pressure, clear and concise, high attention to detail and the ability to build relationships and clearly communicate with transactional clients is critical in the success of this role coupled with your experience in Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate markets.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients delivering fast, efficient and accurate service and execution
- Where required provide coverage to Strategic/Focus clients or assist senior sales leaders in the coverage and execution capabilities of those clients
- Manage and develop relationships with primarily transactional clients, including those serviced over e-platforms for flow based business
- Provide day to day sales coverage, updating clients on market colour, market levels, providing distribution of HSBC research
- Develop trusted relationships with clients to drive revenue growth and greater product penetration
- Partner with internal stakeholders; Relationship Managers, Global Payments Solutions (GPS), and Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF), engaging with clients improve share of wallet
- Drive efficiency and profitability by championing adoption and use of relevant service offerings to meet client needs, for example migrating transactional business to the self-service e-capability
- Work with local Corporate Sales team to ensure all activities for their set of transactional clients are executed in line with internal policies
- Identify and originate cross-sell opportunities (cross-border, Corporate Sales /CRS, and cross-selling the Bank)
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A solid understanding of Financial Markets, covering foreign exchange instruments (Spot, Options, Swaps, Forwards and Futures) and interest rate derivatives and an ability to understand & manage a diverse and sometimes complex, product set
- Undergraduate or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant finance/banking related discipline
- Strong analytical aptitude and experience working in a Corporate Sales business, its products, clients, systems and key processes
- Possess outstanding attention to detail, clear and concise communication and high quality client service and execution skills
