Responsible for managing the trade capture workflow in the primary trading systems across Fixed Income (Emerging Markets Credit High Yield and Investment Grade Credit), Derivatives, Foreign Exchange and related products. Trade capture responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing initial trade bookings and amendments in the trading systems, resolving trade discrepancies, facilitating trade life cycle events, and identification and resolution of variations in risk within primary trading system and Flash PnL reporting. In addition, the role requires all trade issues to be monitored, escalated as necessary, and resolved in a timely and efficient manner. As a result, the role is an escalation point for the various internal teams and external clients on transaction related issues. Cross training with team members supporting other products will be required for coverage purposes.
As our Credit Middle Office Desk Support Specialist you will:
- Monitor trade capture workflow in the primary trading systems
- Apply independent judgment and discretion when resolving trade discrepancies to ensure the firm’s capital is accurately applied
- Based on product, system and proprietary knowledge, identify and resolve variations in risk in the primary trading system, e.g., booking discrepancies
- Primary point of contact for the Front Office and Operations on matters of significance
- Identify trades for bi-lateral compression to reduce risk weighted assets (RWA)
- Able to handle trade compressions across multiple currencies
- Apply customer instructions to complete allocations to ensure credit risk is applied in a timely manner
- Ensure internal risk positions are appropriately reflected to mitigate any risk to the firm’s capital
- Ensure initial trade bookings, trade amendments, client credit checks, allocations and novations occur in a timely manner
- Book trades within regulatory time frames to comply with HSBC, client, and market regulatory standards
For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $98,400.00 and $147,600.00
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
