We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Data Technology Lead – Reference Data for the driving the strategy and run-time (Run the Bank) operation of the Reference Data product and services. The role will require gaining of insight into internal/external customer needs and champion preferences in order to direct the Technology product vision to build. Additionally, the Lead will assist in the championing of the product with internal stakeholders and ensures that the Reference Data product and supporting operating model(s)/processes are fit for purpose and reflect the needs of the customers.

This is a high-impact leadership role interfacing across business, technology, CDO, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reference data management at global scale.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Lead the global strategy and technology platform delivery for Reference Data 
  • Ensure creation and ongoing management of the reference data system throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Lead the discussions on co-design opportunities with global businesses/ functions
  • Design and govern data mastering rules, identity resolution logic, and golden record formation to establish a consistent, high-quality data truth. 
  • Deliver platform capabilities for reference data change monitoring using internal and external data sources.
  • Oversee provisioning of mastered reference data to consuming systems through standardized APIs, EDAs, and event-based patterns. 
  • Ensure platform scalability, resilience, and compliance across global markets, adhering to data localization, privacy regulations and other applicable regulationsPartner with business, CIOs, CDAO, and risk stakeholders to meet critical business and regulatory use cases.
  • Embed data governance, metadata management, lineage, and control mechanisms to support audits, lineage, and data usage transparency.
  • Drive architectural modernization, automation, and cloud-readiness of the reference data platform.Lead one end to end team or product managers, analysts, engineering and design teams along with vendor partners to create, maintain and deliver on roadmap priorities with agility, security, and operational discipline.
  • Represent Reference data in enterprise forums, data councils, and regulatory reviews where customer data mastering is a focus.Lead the quarterly planning of the Reference Data product so that senior management have a clear idea of the delivery path
  • Articulating the Reference Data product vision of what is to be built, and conveys that vision to the agile software development team
  • Drive improvements in productivity through backlog management, maturity in the use of Agile methodologies (e.g. Safe, Scrum, Kanban, Lean), and corresponding management of dependencies.
  • Drive the use of data quality measures, data movement and data use controls in the reference data space
  • Continually assess the operational risks inherent in the processes, taking account of changing operating procedures, staff movements, legal and regulatory requirements, management restructures, and the impact of new technology
  • Monitoring and implementing process reviews and developing risk mitigation plans. Ensure satisfactory audit ratings.
  • Alignment and integration with data sharing and data provisioning frameworks
  • Reference Data Hub (RDH), the new data platform, as the golden source for. The role holder needs to enable the migration of the data assets from the legacy platforms (ESR, BCDU, local systems, etc)

Postulación
  • 15+ years of experience in platform product management, data engineering, platform development, or enterprise technology roles, preferably within reference or identity data domains.
  • Strong expertise in reference data mastering, identity resolution, golden record management, and integration frameworks.
  • Practical experience of designing master data solutions, particularly around non-functional, data entitlement and auditing requirements.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data architecture, API platforms, event-driven systems, and metadata-driven design.
  • Hands-on experience with data service design (APIs, e.g. REST and event messaging), and data quality tooling.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, localization, and regulatory frameworks relevant to customer data (e.g., GDPR, FATCA, KYC/CDD regulations).
  • Experience of solving the challenge of global solutions in a complex data residency environment.
  • Proven ability to lead global teams and deliver complex platforms that serve multiple lines of business and regions.
  • Track record of delivering business-aligned solutions using data that support customer lifecycle, onboarding, and risk management processes.

What we offer

The pay range for this role is 34,425.00 - 51.5833.33 PLN.

Additional car allowance in the amount of 7,397.00 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
