We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer

In this role, you will:

  • Highly proficient in working in an agile way with a high empathy for continuous delivery and DevSecOps – must be able to do small, low-risk, high cadence change. Typically will release to production daily if not multiple times per day.
  • Adaptability is key requirement for this role in order to 'get the job done' this is a combination of technical change as well organisational change
  • expertise in systems thinking is foundational
  • empathy and understanding of people and the roles they play in organisations
  • Has a deep awareness of technology, what is happening in the tech community, thinking critically about it and applying that to delivering change
  • Technology / programming language is not a barrier to getting things done - engineers will typically be polyglot and have no issues with learning on the job. They will have a natural understanding for the core technical skills instead of specific frameworks allowing them to be very diverse in what they can do.
Requisitos

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: 

  • Participates in technical design of features with guidance
  • Starting to do more than be asked e.g start to innovate by writing tools to make your job easier
  • Can own a production incident, in terms of timely communication, escalation and incident hygiene. Identifies potential system improvements and capable of explaining benefits.
  • Thinking beyond the specific impact of the functional delivery, how might a delivery impact other functional areas
  • Understanding of business context of changes being made
  • Lead PIRs for the team
  • Technical skills –
    • Databases, Concurrency, JMS, Javascript, Clojure, CSS, NodeJS
    • Puppet, Clojure, Rust, Haskell, Grafana
    • Understanding of underlying infrastructure components
    • Deeper understanding of component delivery in areas such as: security, accessibility
