Our sector-focused Global Banking relationship managers provide a single coverage point for our financial institutional clients. With our global capabilities and footprint, vast expertise and local knowledge, our Global Banking teams connect clients to the products and services that meet their global financial needs. 

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Director, Financial Institutions Group.

Principal Responsibilities

  • To act as Global Relationship Banker (GRB) or local Relationship Manager (RM) in developing and managing the relationships with a portfolio of Financial Institution clients, including emerging fintech names, covering origination, penetration, and maintenance of strong banking relationships
  • Act as primary point of contact for clients and internal colleagues. Work with various middle/back offices to ensure smooth delivery of client solution and efficient feedback to client inquiries
  • Contribute to identifying strategies to maintain / enhance overall relationship return and ensure early identification of potential credit issues
  • Provide high quality industry sector, competitor, and peer analysis to support business development, portfolio management and credit risk assessment
  • Identify marketing opportunities, undertaking appropriate analysis and preparation of proposals, presentations and pitches for new products and services
  • Prepare client meeting materials/presentations, and where relevant participate in and contribute to high quality client meetings
  • Complete review and submission of credit risk returns including limit excess/exception, security/documentation outstanding, monthly credit control reports etc
  • Complete KYC for new client onboarding/transactions as well as ongoing KYC renew cases
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
Requisitos
  • Strong business knowledge and a working knowledge of financial institution banking clients and products that are utilised, with the ability to gather information when required as needed
  • Proven track record of the ability to drive new business initiatives by pulling in the Bank's resources effectively. Proven track record of quality contribution to drive event deal
  • Experience in client facing role and global banking experience or knowledge is preferred
  • Good understanding of risk management and risk mitigation
  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory requirements and KYC standard
  • University graduate with excellent client service skills
  • Must be detail-conscious and able to work independently under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Based in Hong Kong SAR
