We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Discovery Tools Technical Lead
- Responsible and Accountable for UCMDB application performance, installations, Upgrades, discovery, enhancements, scan customizations and Data reconciliation issues.
- Responsible for UD agent deployment, Agent troubleshooting, Automation of agent deployment, maintain Agent hygiene, fixing agent related issues.
- Accountable for overseeing design processes, solution architectures, and definition of key metrics for upcoming projects.
- Removing impediments for the team and shield them from interruptions, act as a coach to the team, Product Owner and wider organisation to help them continually improve, and facilitates the delivery of work and where appropriate.
- Act as a point of escalation for the development & delivery teams
- Ensure all activities performed within the team adhere to the relevant data standards and data controls.
- Ensure the level of automation within the team is optimised at all times, reducing the need for human intervention in the design, development and operational lifecycles, including decisions on tooling to achieve optimal performance.
- Work with the Product Owner, Solution & Platform Architects to identify changes required, create & agree necessary stories.
- Work with business stakeholders/users to elicit software setup requirements and capture business needs; clear articulation and documentation of business requirements.
- Ensure that the service continues to meet the customer needs & demands, and takes corrective action where necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, formal service availability reporting against agreed availability targets.
- Work with the Agile Lead to ensure efficient flow of the backlog of change activities.
- Work on UD agent to ensure scanning of estate is operational as per agreed SLA.
- Accountable for ensuring products and services maintain compliance with mandatory and regulatory requirements and control objectives within the risk and controls framework.
- Responsible for ensuring group controls are maintained within the team activities and remediation activities are resolved swiftly.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or above (Business, IT or management disciplines).
- Strong knowledge of Asset inventory discovery tools such as UD & UCMDB.
- Advanced Proficiency with Unix/Linux and Windows, SQL, Python, API is essential
- Strong knowledge of ITIL or Configuration Management or ITSM
- Strong DevOps background
- Knowledge of Jira or Confluence
- Strong Architectural and technical knowledge
- Ability to understand user requirements and desired business outcomes.
