We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Emerging Talent Attraction, Selection and Development Lead.

Principal responsibilities
Responsible for Early Careers Talent Acquisition attraction, selection, and onboarding in China for HSBC, the world's largest Bank. As the largest digital first bank you will serve two of the largest business functions in HSBC providing ‘Technology’ and ‘Operations’ capability. Delivering a world class attraction, selection and development framework to support our ambitious growth plans in the India market.
Role description
• To lead and manage Emerging Talent Selection and Attraction to raise awareness of our opportunities in the ET market, supporting HSBCs strategic goals.
• Lead the Emerging Talent Recruitment team
• Own all Attraction content, working in partnership with Group Attraction Lead
Responsibilities
• Work with Stakeholders and Business sponsors to plan and execute the selection process to meet Emerging Talent demand needs.
• Lead a ‘best in market’ candidate experience during selection, onboarding and ‘keep warm’ period.
• Use a data driven approach to evaluate the success of the selection process, validate, and ensure no adverse impact. Ensuring the priorities are understood and realised.
• Continual evolution of the process to ensure it is meeting business needs and supporting HSBC strategic diversity goals.
• Ability to work globally at scale with awareness of best practice and nuances in each market.
• Demand planning to ensure the process is executed efficiently and commercially.
• Own and build active relationships and knowledge base with external vendors. Horizon scanning to ensure the process remains competitive.
• Attend industry seminars to keep abreast of industry developments / competitor activity and share learning with team and stakeholders.
• Ensure hiring targets are defined against Strategic Workforce plans.
• Ensure accurate M.I is regularly collated and maintained on marketing / campus campaign success and hiring activity, liaising with colleagues in the global regions to ensure a full picture.
• Support D&I Specialist in the design and implementation of all new Diversity recruiting programmes and activities ensuring they are fit for purpose and delivering results
• Develop effective working relationships with Emerging Talent Leadership, business sponsors, HR colleagues and external vendors to understand business needs and best practice.
• Lead local teams to identify and target new Courses/Universities to broaden the pool of diverse talent and build understanding of target universities.
• Lead local teams develop and expand HSBC’s Diversity profile at Universities and schools globally.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
• Strong Stakeholder Management up to Senior level
• Proven Emerging Talent recruitment and marketing experience (ideally within a global Financial Services or Professional Services environment).
• Ability to develop and execute strategy from global to local
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently a self-starter, an excellent listener, able to identify and translate strategies into action. They need to be resilient under pressure, have high energy levels and partner with HR specialists to be able to appropriately challenge/advise management on key issues. Strong attention to detail
• Previous assessment centre design and planning experience
• Knowledge of EVP and marketing and attraction content and strategies
• Good understanding of different educational systems and nuances between markets
• Competent user of Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience of HR systems / databases / Applicant Tracking Systems/ Procurement
• Vendor management experience (preferable) eg RPO, Selection partner
• Excellent communicator and presenter. Proven ability to negotiate and influence internal teams and stakeholders.
• Must be fluent in English
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience working in this sector
• Experience of working in a global matrix organisation is desirable, not essential.
