We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Financial Control Technical Guidance Analyst

Principal responsibilities

  • Participate in the design of the technical support operating model to be applied in the future state.
  • Identify and support evaluation of emerging technologies to drive data/process improvements.
  • Interpretation of business requirements from a SME perspective. Analyse problems and propose solutions beyond initial objectives or requirements.
  • Assist in conducting process/product reviews. To identify the root cause of issues/ challenges faced by the business and associated stakeholders.
  • Provide support in preparation of discussion papers, to be presented to senior stakeholders.
  • Define the skill sets required in the new operating model and how to gain and build/train such skills to ensure the function can implement and drive the strategy forward.
  • Ensure appropriate communication across Finance, as well as other functions, such as Risk and the businesses who own much of the data being sourced and validated.
  • Work with dynamic plans in a fast-moving environment, continually assessing priorities and progress and adjusting course where necessary, being sure to maintain stakeholder buy-in
  • Closely work with Project manager to progress project to plan, co-ordinate and prioritize activities/resources, facilitate sign offs on each milestone delivery and escalate risks/issues in a timely manner for consideration.
Requisitos
  • Experienced Finance Professional with extensive experience in reporting and technical roles that cover a range of regulatory and financial reporting. Experience within technical roles or data officer team will be an added advantage.
  • Proven track record in playing a key role in delivering a complex change project in the Financial and Regulatory reporting space.
  • Strong cross-Finance knowledge and experience, able to confidently speak on behalf of Finance.
  • Committed to continuous improvement, self-motivated, confident, creative, and capable of working effectively autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviors, processes, and objectives.
  • Agile mindset and/ or experience working in an Agile team/organisation. 
  • Ability to write plain-English papers, briefings and slides on complex topics.
