Your career opportunity:
The Cloud Governance Manager is responsible for ensuring that Cloud objectives are met, and appropriate governance and oversight is delivered. The role reports to the Regional Lead of Cloud Services, to ensure that our organisation has effective Cloud oversight in place to understand the service delivery performance and associated risk for both Cloud infrastructure services delivered by HSBC group entities and the collective exposure to Cloud migration results.

This role presents an opportunity to be actively involved in shaping and defining the End user devices strategy, management infrastructure, image components, update strategy and telemetry data for a 300k+ devices in the estate across 26 countries.


What you’ll do:
    • Lead and manage the HSBC Cloud Governance Forum, ensuring all actions are effectively captured and executed.
    • Ensure risks and issues related to Cloud Services are identified, escalated, and tracked through appropriate governance forums.
    • Act as the main point of contact for Cloud governance across assigned markets, including regulatory consultations.
    • Represent Cloud Services in country-level IT governance meetings.
    • Oversee the Cloud Management Model across assigned markets, including the delivery of required reports.


What you need to have to succeed in this role:
    • Proven experience in technology risk management within financial services.
    • Strong knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements related to Cloud services in UK.
    • Ability to lead governance forums and ensure effective action tracking and follow-through.
    • Experience managing internal and external stakeholders, including interactions with regulators.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to navigate senior stakeholder communication and cross function interactions.
    • Commitment to ethical standards, operational resilience, and proactive risk mitigation.
