This role is responsible for helping the Global Procurement function make better, data-driven decisions and drive mission critical business outcomes through unlocking business value from data. This is typically through complex data analysis, developing insights and high-quality reusable data assets and deploying artificial intelligence capabilities.

- How do we drive efficiency in our supply chain?
- How do we more effectively manage risk in our supply chain e.g. concentration risk and horizon scan?
- How do we partner with our suppliers to drive towards net-zero?
What you’ll do
- E2E delivery of assigned projects, such as developing performance KPIs, development of data models based on multiple data sources in alignment to standards and business requirements, including but not limited to data discovery, data cleaning and transformation, metrics calculation, data aggregation and data validation
- Perform matching and linking across datasets
- Ensure secure movement of data from sources to targets
- Use ETL and data tools to perform data integration across different databases / systems / platforms
- Provide complex reporting solutions within Google Cloud environment and/or Microsoft SQL Server. Utilise Python, TSQL and other technologies
- Work with stakeholders and business partners to understand requirements and process logic; play an active role in understanding core problem statements
- Identify internal process improvements opportunities
- Identify and manage risks and process blockers in area of responsibility
- Document the processes by creating road-maps, process descriptions and other documentation
- Drive assigned projects, including facilitating discussion and monitoring progress
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Proven and demonstrable experience of working in a data-related role (at least 3 years): SQL development, data analysis, data engineering, data architecture, data management and / or modelling with hands-on technical experience of using associated technologies. We are looking for an expert in the area, willing and able to pick up the challenging tasks from the first day on the role
- Advanced knowledge (both theoretical and practical) in technical areas crucial to the project: exceptional understanding of SQL programming (writing, optimizing, and maintaining) and relational database system is a must, while experience with Google Cloud Platform Products, especially Big Query is a very welcome addition. It’s good if you understand the ETL and data warehousing principles. We appreciate your experience in preparation of business reporting and front-end dashboards. Knowledge of Python and AI / ML methodologies will also serve as an advantage
- Positive attitude and proactive approach: members of our team are goal-oriented professionals, able to solve the problems using the skills they already possess as well as actively look for the solutions to the challenges in the available sources. Finishing our tasks do not satisfy us: when the projects we’re assigned to are delivered, we are looking for an opportunity to support the project further in the most effective manner
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strong understanding of the power and value of data with an ability to apply technology solutions to meet business needs and solve problems
- Ability to assess stakeholder needs to improve customer experience, show resilience under pressure and provide best in class solutions
- Capable of developing subject matter expertise in complex areas and demonstrating a resourceful, creative and inquisitive approach to complex tasks
- Demonstrate a passion for research and data, be proactive, take initiative and work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; business English proficiency is a must
