Your career opportunity
The role holder will be primarily responsible for the report ownership of HSBC Continental Europe's (HBCE) compliance with the EU's Central Electronic System of Payment Information (CESOP) tax reporting directive across in scope entities (i.e., Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Malta). The role holder will be responsible for managing the reporting team (Ernest & Young) and coordinating with other departments and stakeholders to gather necessary data and execute against the quarterly reporting requirements.
What you’ll do
- Understand, review and challenge the information being subject to CESOP reporting obligations.
- Report change triggers as identified by the Risk Steward (e.g. Regulatory developments).
- Monitor and identify internal & external (excluding Regulatory Developments) triggers of regulatory reporting change.
- Oversee activities performed by the Report Maker (EY Team).
- Process the sign-off through any regulatory required or internally mandated governance.
- Communicate key findings and/or insights from the reported data to the stakeholders.
- Assist in audit processes related to the reported data, providing necessary information and answering queries as required by the Risk Steward and Risk Owner.
- Develop strong relationships with country counterparts as well as regional and global stakeholders.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- GPS & HBCE business constructs
- Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment especially in the financial services sector (CESOP, PSD2, PSD3, etc.)
- Understanding principles of risk management framework and controls
- Proficiency in Excel and PPT preferable
- 5-10 years in banking sector
- Business Management experience
- Strong written and verbal proficiency in English
- Analytical abilities, capacity of drawing quick conclusions
