Your career opportunity:
The Lead Analyst - Service Development and Governance role-holder will join a team of analysts and is charged with protecting the HSBC brand, shareholder value, information, and financial assets, across the globe.


What you’ll do:
    • Transition new business requestable services into the Service Delivery or other Global Defence Engineering teams as appropriate, ensuring that all resource, documentation and training requirements are met. 
    • Collaborate with the Cybersecurity Service Management team and Global Defence Engineering capability owners, to maintain the Global Defence Engineering Service Catalogue and an up to date, prioritized, backlog of new services, enhancements and bug fixes to be developed in Service Now.  
    • Facilitate discussions and collaboration between teams both within and outside of Cybersecurity to develop designs and drive progress of Service Now development items through to completion. 
    • Identify and implement opportunities for automation and streamlining processes, improving both the customer and fulfiller experience. 
    • Maintain a stakeholder register and ensure timely communications are issued to all stakeholders regarding Service Now design and development activities. 
    • Responsible for the governance of Service Delivery recertification activities, including the recertification of Global Defence Service Catalogue entries and process documentation. 
    • Oversight of other governance activities which support Global Defence Engineering capabilities, but may sit outside of Cybersecurity, such as Third Party Connections. 
    • Support Business Requestable service owners with reporting requirements.  
    • Drive engagement with all relevant regional and global stakeholders (cyber security colleagues across Strategy and Architecture, Security Shared Services, Security Engineering and business and IT Functions).
    • Work closely with the Business as the 1LOD function and understand strategy while maintaining visibility of their IT security risk profile, exposures and control effectiveness and to provide robust challenge to the same audience when information security risk appetites are breached. 
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant security frameworks, standards, and best practices. 
    • Ensure information security requirements are adhered to globally by ensuring effective compliance and measures are in place. 
    • Identify opportunities for automation and improvement.


What you need to have to succeed in this role:
    • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience of understanding and meeting the needs of multiple stakeholders.  
    • An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily understood, authoritative and actionable manner.  
    • Customer centric consultancy approach with experience in delivering large scale transformation.  
    • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.  
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.

    • Influences beyond his/her department, leads transformation initiatives to change behaviours and mindset which makes the bank better.  
    • Experience working in a highly regulated, large multi-national environment.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. 
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.  
    • Experience with business process modeling and documentation tools.  
    • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.  
    • Strong Understanding of the security capabilities that are supported by Global Defence Engineering. 
    • Industry experience and qualification

Candidates will be evaluated primarily upon their ability to demonstrate the competencies required to be successful in the role, as described above.

    •  Strong written and verbal communication skills
    •  Strong organisational skills
    •  Previous experience in Business / Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance  
    •  Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing 
    •  Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
