The Treasury Transformation & Management Office Business Analyst role is required to manage resource, cost, and delivery management activities across Global Treasury, working together with the Global Treasury Organisational Strategy Director, Treasury Value Stream Portfolio Director and other teams to ensure that resources, cost management and delivery management activities in Treasury are robustly managed and compliant to applicable HSBC Change Framework standards. 

The role holder will be reporting to Global Treasury Organisational Director or Treasury Value Stream Portfolio Director, under Global Treasury function.  

What you’ll do
    • Ensure that the Treasury initiatives, plans, resources and financials are agreed and tracked appropriately with clear escalation as per defined governance.
    • Support the execution of programme governance for Treasury initiatives including reporting line into other change and governance forum.
    • Ensure key governance meetings and status reported are executed appropriately.
    • Manage mechanism to identify, log, action and/or escalate risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies at Programme and workstream levels.
    • Manage the mechanism to track dependencies to/from other programmes. 
    • Ensure that resource and cost plan for Treasury activities are up to date. Ensure that resources onboarding, offboarding and extension are executed in timely manner.
    • Maintain HSBC internal controls associated with the role. 
    • Ensuring that all plans and documents are compliant with HSBC Change Framework including relevant non-financial risk (NFR) consideration.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Strong Programme Management skill covering the whole project lifecycle from initiation to closure; OR strong experience in planning and cost modelling.
    • Strong understanding of banking / HSBC and understanding of how change drives benefits for HSBC, its customers and other stakeholders.
    • Understanding of Treasury or ALCM business is desirable. 
    • Educated to minimum of degree level or equivalent professional qualification. 
    • Strong execution and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to present information in a professional manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
    • Experience of working in finance function is a significant advantage.
    • Build strong relationship with other teams with dependencies into/out of Global Treasury.
