We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join in the role of Senior Manager Data Privacy and Records.
This is an opportunity to join the WPB Global Non-Financial Risk (NFR) which plays an important role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite, by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management. The role holder will work within the GPB Global Data team, providing subject matter expertise across the GPB EMEA region and working very closely with the Data and Analytics Office (DAO), Legal, Resilience Risk and Chief Control Office, Chief Operation Officer to ensure we are protecting our customers’ data and are complying with privacy laws and regulations.
What you’ll do
• Act as a senior trusted advisor to support GPB Data EMEA team on the implementation of Data Privacy requirements within GPB EMEA markets.• Provide subject matter expertise to GPB EMEA markets to help them comply with local laws and regulations and ensure proposed solutions meet internal standards and are fit for purpose.• Able to develop strategical vision of the control framework and the tools associated to support GPB EMEA markets.• Able to dive into the details and come up with tactical solution to support GPB EMEA markets.• Perform hands-on activities to operate Data Privacy controls for GPB EMEA markets.• Lead Data Privacy control implementation and/or remediation activities across GPB EMEA markets , and participate in other Data Privacy initiatives driven by various stakeholders.• Provide ad-hoc advice, as required, to change programmes during early phases of the Change Framework to support Privacy by Design.• Manage the GPB EMEA Data Privacy governance to ensure key risks, issues and breaches are understood, tracked, and managed appropriately.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
• Strong experience within Data Privacy and/or in related areas, i.e. Risk & Control Management, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Security, Data Management.• Holder or studying towards a Privacy certification (e.g. IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM, ISEB Certificate).• Experience in managing and driving risk and control management activities (preferably in Data, Security, Third Party or Compliance), with the ability to assess materiality of risks and prioritise / differentiate responses accordingly.• Ability to develop quickly expertise on technology and digital services (e.g. cookies technology).• Ability to support change delivery globally across matrix-based organisations.• Experience implementing a large regulatory programme in multiple jurisdictions, businesses or functions would be desirable but not essential• Knowledge within the private banking business would be desirable but not essential.• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills to be able to identify and present complex issues. Excellent written communication skills to develop compelling and logically structured presentations and papers that are thoughtful, clear, and concise
