CIB Banking Transformation & Performance is responsible for world-class strategic transformation of CIB Banking through smart execution. We act as strategic partners to business and create world class digital capabilities that enable HSBC CIB Banking to digitize at scale and simplify the lives of our colleagues & customers.
We are a team of ~500 globally and over 40 in Poland, driving design, business change, product ownership, simplification and automation across CIB Banking Value Streams (Client Onboarding and Servicing, Global Payment Solutions, Global Trade & Receivables Finance, Capital Markets, Sustainability, Platforms & Regulatory programmes).
The role holder will be expected to work closely with Lending stakeholders, operations / credit services teams, internal IT, external vendors and the ESG Service Product Manager. The role holder will become Subject Matter Expert in ESG Service, the tool used for Sustainable Finance Margin Management, lead business adoption of the tool across the sites and deliver ongoing UAT / production support across the relevant business functions, including communication with the vendor where required. The role holder will ensure that feedback from the users on the tool usage is captured and articulated in the form of business requirements for future enhancements.
What you’ll do
- Become the Subject Matter Expert on ESG Service - the vendor tool used for Sustainable Finance margin rule management and pricing calculations
- Liaise with involved Lending and Operations teams to ensure smooth business adoption of the tool across business sites globally
- Provide ongoing BAU support to ensure that business users understand how to utilize the tool for storing facility agreement data and applying margin adjustments in line with target operating model and procedures
- Handle BAU ESG Service support requests by liaising with business and IT teams to ensure swift resolution
- Gather feedback from the end users and transpose business requirements into service development requirements for prioritization queue
- Deliver clear and concise requirements in the form of user stories and ‘wire-frames’ or mock-up screen designs related to future upgrades of the tool
- Liaise with technical support team to ensure that the product design and development meets the requirements as specified by the users
- Liaise with test team / carry out user testing to ensure that final product meets requirements
- Setup and maintain configuration and access management for the tool based on requirements for each site
- Provide input to training and communication materials;
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Experience as a Business Support / Analyst in the complex limit lending domain with a firm understanding of the associated end to end lending application, approval and maintenance processes;
- Demonstrate an ability to interpret complex lending documentation and processes to extract key data points, and apply these to a structured data model;
- Demonstrate an ability to work at a high level of numeracy in order to assess the robustness and accuracy of margin rules being delivered by the vendor tool;
- Five + years of Business & Systems Analysis, Requirements Management;
- Highly proactive and able to work independently;
- Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective;
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors;
- Experience as a Business Support / Analyst in the complex limit lending domain with a firm understanding of the associated end to end lending application, approval and maintenance processes;
- Demonstrate an ability to interpret complex lending documentation and processes to extract key data points, and apply these to a structured data model;
- Demonstrate an ability to work at a high level of numeracy in order to assess the robustness and accuracy of margin rules being delivered by the vendor tool;
- Have excellent decision making and problem solving ability;
- Experience of working with disparate teams and resources located remotely;
- Proven ability to work across regions whilst maintaining a global perspective;
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors;
