As Transaction Services Expert, you will be responsible for managing complex and standard lending in Loan IQ for HSBC Continental Europe, supporting end-to-end credit customer journey across Corporate and Institutional Banking (‘CIB’).

The role will require you to manage operational activities with within defined Service Level Agreements (‘SLA’) and high-level quality, while ensuring that areas of operational risks are identified, monitored and managed effectively to enable business continuity. Adaptability to a changing environment and alignment of operation to strategic decisions will be key to succeed.

The Credit Services Department is built with a highly experienced team of individuals who manages end-to-end process for loan and credit administration for both bilateral and syndicated deals for CIB. Credit Services fundaments are in providing credit & collateral management service for European markets while seeking continued innovations and improvement through digital solutions.

What you’ll do
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders—including origination teams, clients, legal counsel, notaries, and the Legal and Tax departments of HSBC Continental Europe—to draft, review, and execute contractual and financing documentation, while efficiently managing and communicating relevant information between borrowers and the bank’s front office or accounting teams.
    • Coordinate payment processes at contract signing—including payment orders and invoices—with other WBAO teams, and manage the accounting of commitments, utilisations, and fees. Oversee successive drawdowns when conditions precedent apply, ensuring compliance and efficient execution of the transaction.
    • Instruct the administrative middle office team (Analysis Team Support - ATS) to prepare and maintain deal summary sheets.
    • Monitor the borrower’s obligations throughout the loan life (limited to and in particular loan service, financial covenants, clean down periods) and take necessary initiatives to ensure compliance.
    • TMU relies on dedicated procedures to reduce operational risk and standardize management. Each Transaction Manager is expected to contribute to maintaining and updating these procedures with their hierarchy to adapt continuously to market changes and ensure service quality.
    • Dedicated to CSO activities (Asset Finance activity on behalf of HBCE SPV’s): Manage the life cycle of the deal with respect to the documentation (incl. lease calculation, invoicing, FX calculation, treasury and cash pooling).
    • Support the Head of PCU on risks covered on his scope through different tools (e.g. Helios) and ensure first-level controls are implemented to mitigate risks, deficiencies are assessed, escalated and followed up with appropriate corrective actions.
    • Perform daily CARM LIQ reconciliation (including CMRT & FMRT).

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • University degree in one of the following fields: Banking, Finance, Accountancy, Economics, or Law.
    • 4-5 years of experience in banking (corporate market), compliance, or financial security, focusing on client file controls.
    • Knowledge of key regulations regarding anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism.
    • Leadership orientation, client focus, autonomy, initiative, rigor, organization, prioritization, communication, interpersonal skills, synthesis skills, team spirit, flexibility, and adaptability to changing environments.
    • Good analytical skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage several applications.
    • Problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and ability to work in a team.
    • Fluent English (oral and written).
    • Proficiency in MS Office.

What we offer

The pay range for this role is 9 225 PLN - 13 500 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
