Your career opportunity
The role holder will form part of the Global Regulatory Compliance (“RC”) team that provides independent line of business oversight and challenge of the Markets and Securities Services (“MSS”) business. All elements of the role require significant engagement and coordination with asset classes, operations, and regions across MSS RC.
What you’ll do
What you’ll do
- Lead all governance and reporting activities globally for MSS RC, including managing existing Centre of Excellence governance and reporting FTE. This includes bi-weekly reporting, preparing and managing senior leadership meetings, managing and drafting all MSS RC governance submissions to senior forums.
- Lead risk stewardship governance over MSS Transformation projects, programmes and initiatives. This includes regularly engaging with the business line, MSS RC and Group Compliance to ensure MSS RC has programme and portfolio level oversight of first line activities.
- Oversee other governance and reporting activities, including coordinating all global Policy and Procedure reviews within MSS RC, Risk Appetite Statements and metrics, and other key activities.
- Manage senior relationships within MSS RC, the wider Compliance function, including Group Compliance COO/CAO colleagues globally to influence and deliver key objectives.
- Proactively identify, design, deliver and implement enhancements to working practices within MSS Regulatory Compliance.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- A good understanding of the MSS business – products, processes, risks etc. including the global regulatory environment that the MSS business operates under.
- Significant governance experience at a senior level, including managing senior stakeholders and leading teams.
- Excellent paper/report writing skills including ability to summarise and present key messages to senior leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with experience of interacting with senior and executive level staff.
- Ability to develop approaches and deliver on resultant actions / projects / initiatives to achieve the goals
- Experience designing and implementing global operating models.
