In this role you will:
- Manage and take ownership of the Banking Operations team and Global HSBC Universal Banking Customer Service
- Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant stakeholders including, but not limited to, Lines of Business, Risk Stewards and Chief Control Officers
- Assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of dynamic economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management re-structures and the impact of new technology
- Maintain oversight of outsourced services and develop strong relationships with colleagues based in offshore Global Service Centers, including production, actions, people and quality Management Information
- Manage operational capacity and capability to ensure delivery of services and quality levels at optimal cost
- Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and escalate any risks, such as operational, regulatory, and financial crime risks
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Good understanding of banking operations, as well as banking products and services
- Excellent leadership qualities, with solid analytical and numerical skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent planning and communication skills, and the ability to develop solid relationships with a variety of stakeholders across seniorities and geographies
