Reporting to the Head of Macau Branch, HSBC Life, this role is central to driving the strategic growth and sales excellence of HSBC Life in Macau. This role is responsible for developing and executing business development strategies, managing key partnerships, and optimising processes to expand market share, enhance customer experience, and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate should be a proactive leader with strong analytical skills, deep insurance expertise, and a proven ability to deliver transformational results.
Principal responsibilities
Strategic Business Development & Growth:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve KPIs and expand HSBC Life's market share in Macau
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, including affinity partnerships and new distribution channels
- Collaborate with teams in Hong Kong to ensure local initiatives in product, process and technology are aligned to support business growth and enhance the customer experience
Partnership & Relationship Management:
- Serve as the local liaison for partners, ensuring effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Align local initiatives with regional and group objectives to ensure mutual success
- Develop and share Oversee relationship management with partners, and HK teams to ensure mutual success and resolve any process or cooperation issues
Sales Excellence & Performance Management:
- Drive sales performance by implementing effective metrics, incentive structures, and training programmes jointly with teams in Hong Kong
- Monitor business performance, prepare regular reports and provide forecasts for senior management
Process Optimisation & Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate with HK teams to ensure product designs, new business processes, etc. to maximise efficiency and customer experience
- Champion the development and implementation of best practices in strategic planning and risk management
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure the team operates effectively to provide exceptional support and enablement to frontline
Postulación
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in insurance or financial services. Exceptional candidates with less experience with a strong track record will also be considered for this role.
- Proven experience in insurance sales/channel and distribution management, with a strong understanding of banking/insurance regulations, compliance, and sales quality.
- Excellent commercial judgement and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams in both Hong Kong and Macau.
