Head of Global Payments Solutions

Commercial Banking – Global Payments Solutions

Hang Seng’s Commercial Banking (CMB) business provides customized one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from prime small and medium-sized businesses to publicly listed companies. 

For customers conducting business locally or around the world, we offer a comprehensive range of services including corporate lending, trade and receivables finance, structured loan, cash management, investment, treasury services, insurance and e-Banking services.  As a reliable financial partner, we attend to the specific business needs of our customers and provide efficient tailor-made banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Head of Global Payments Solutions.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Report to Head of Commercial Banking of Hang Seng Bank, the incumbent is responsible for developing and leading the Global Payment Solutions (GPS) strategies to meet the needs of the Bank’s wholesale banking customers. Ensure the Bank offering high quality and superior GPS solutions to customers and is instrumental in acquiring profitable business opportunities for the Bank.
  • Proactively contribute to the strategies developed and executed by Wholesale Banking. Leverage the depth and breadth of client relationships and GPS capabilities to optimize the share of wallet that the Bank achieves.
  • Ensure the ongoing development of the Bank’s GPS franchise, connecting with Group GPS, with particular focus on product development, superior use of technology and innovative yet cost effective client solutions.
  • Be accountable for overall direct cost discipline inclusive of run the bank spend covering information systems, electronic data whilst delivering on key business priorities.
  • Oversee the regulatory compliance of payments products. Establish adequate controls, apply sound risk management and governance within the business appetite.
  • Drive people leadership across teams to ensure colleagues having the skills and capabilities to execute the strategies.
Requisitos
  • Minimum of 15 years working experience in Wholesale banking covering Global Payment Solutions, Transaction Banking and/or Cash Management.
  • Strong attentiveness to detail, with ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, stakeholder management and organization skills. Proven experience in operating within a large cross-functional organization with matrix environment.
  • A highly motivated and committed individual with commercial thinking.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a large team to ensure delivery of objectives.
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal Chinese and English
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes and communication with top management and other departments
