Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking and Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets.  Our dedicated colleagues serve millions of customers worldwide across the entire spectrum of private wealth, ranging from personal banking for individuals and families, through to business owners, investors, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.  

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) team, working together to provide a world class service to our most valuable clients. The job holder will be responsible to devise the implementation and execution of the strategic plan, whilst leading the development and distribution of the Managed Solution product ranges, including mutual funds, discretionary mandates and alternative investments. The job holder also has responsibility for delivering the Managed Solutions financial resource plan, in conjunction with Head of Distribution across the Region, whilst growing the brand, reputation and capabilities of the propositional functions over the several key markets of the Middle East. The job holder will be based in Dubai but will look after the Managed Solutions product proposition for the Middle East region. Countries in the Middle East have different operating environments, regulatory requirements and are at various stages in terms of product sophistication. To develop our leadership in this competitive market, tailored strategies are required to penetrate the different target segments while maximizing profitability.  The Managed Solutions team is tasked with the responsibility to develop an optimal range of products, on a regional level, that can cater for the changes in market and economic factors.  The role holder is responsible for developing appropriate product proposition/strategies, driving the delivery of attractive products to grasp opportunities across the Region.

Key responsibilities therefore include:

• Strategic: Design and execution of the strategic plan for the Managed Solutions businesses for the next 5 years
• Revenue: Responsible for delivery of revenue and Asset under Management (AuM) targets for the Managed Solutions businesses
• Product: Develop overall product, pricing and marketing strategies for Managed Solutions across all markets in the Region. Support enhancement of Financial Planning to increase market share and grow revenue across all Regional Markets
• Regulation: Understand, lead and control the complexity of managing several Regulators across multiple jurisdictions for dual lines of business. Flexing policy and procedure where appropriate to ensure HSBC comply with local country requirements, as well as applying best in class Group global standards
• Stakeholder Management: There is a multi-layered and multifaceted requirement. There are Local, Regional and Group Stakeholders at all levels of engagement and interaction across both lines of business. In addition, the role holder is required to manage external relationships with several vendors and multiple Regulators
• Proposition: Continue to design and refine proposition and service metrics, to ensure market leading products are available to clients, positioning HSBC as industry leader in the Region
• Governance: Responsible for oversight, interpretation and execution of all Regulatory, Group, Regional and Local governance
• Segmentation: Devise an appropriate strategy to segment the client base by proposition and product shelf, for both the business across the Region
 

Requisitos

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

• In-depth experience in Product Development, Sales or Marketing of Wealth Products with leading Retail Banks, Private Banks, Treasury, Insurance Companies or Fund Houses.
• CFA qualification will be advantageous. 
• Experience in coordinating Managed Solutions and Investments products activities/sales/training/IT/financial planning in the Wealth business.
• Outstanding track record of Stakeholder Management, Leadership and Development of People.
• Evidence of strong results orientation and performance management success.
• Experience in both developing and developed markets.
• Experience of identifying and successfully integrating product manufacturing.
• Excellent relationship building and senior stakeholder management skills.
• Culturally sensitive and understanding of local customer needs.
• Able to take significant responsibilities in Sales Process, Legal, Compliance and Technology related issues.
• Work closely with the respective Country Heads to develop, penetrate and distribute Managed Solutions and Investments products to retail customers.
• Work closely with all In-House Manufactures and Third Parties for product development and delivery.
• Strong leadership skills coupled with a high and demanding benchmark.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Financial Planning process across execution, advisory or discretionary channels 
• Deep grasp of global practices and standards in private client management essential.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Able to operate effectively in a complex matrix driven environment.
• Able to influence, engage and lead in a positive, inspiring manner.
• Graduation degree is a must to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
