This function brings together distinct specialisms to drive greater connectivity in how we manage engagement with key stakeholders for HSBC.

Finance teams provide the bank with internal and external financial reporting, forecasting, controls oversight and stress testing expertise. Specialist areas also manage HSBC’s worldwide tax affairs, group treasury needs, and events for investors and analysts.

Sustainability teams lead the bank’s work to support sustainable growth in a global economy, including an ambitious plan to prioritise financing that supports the transition to net zero.

Group External Communications teams – including colleagues from Media Relations, ESG Communications and Group Reputation – deliver communication strategies that support HSBC’s strategic objectives, protect our reputation and build trust among our stakeholders.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of Strategy Execution, Global Insurance.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will: 

  • Works directly to support the Global Insurance CFO to drive and manage the Function across various activities including business management, communication, people initiatives
  • The role will exclusively cover the Business Finance aspects of the Global Insurance business
  • Responsible for accurate and timely cost reporting, forecasting and budgeting process for the Function including headcount and position management, identification of cost levers to ensure annual Financial Resource Planning target is achieved
  • Provide support across leadership team (as required) on people initiatives including D&I, workforce planning, skills assessment, learning & development, succession planning/talent management
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and executing regular communication plans including townhalls, leadership briefings, announcements of organisational changes (as required)
Requisitos

To be successful you will need:

  • Finance and operations experience (i.e. strong understanding of cost, forecasting, budgeting, and people management processes) and/or accountancy qualification preferred
  • Ability to lead and influence a wide range of stakeholders and teams
  • Understanding of change frameworks and ability to manage a number of competing priorities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to form effective relationships across HSBC
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (particularly English) including ability to articulate requirements in a way that makes sense to businesses/functions and Finance (where required)
  • A growth mindset and proven track record to effectively drive change initiatives across large global teams; open, curious and change mindset to drive process improvement, efficiency and automation/innovation
