Hang Seng Digital Business Services - Corporate Services – Facilities Management Department

Hang Seng’s Corporate Services is a team of professionals managing nearly 300 properties in Hong Kong used by thousands of staff to support millions of customers. Whether it is a customer entering a branch, or staff collaborating in an office, we can make their experience a positive one.
 
Working closely with the business’ partners and external vendors, the team covers a wide range of real estate functions including planning, acquisition, design, construction/fitting out, asset management, facilities management, and administration of Hang Seng’s operational and investment real estate portfolio. The team also provides collateral appraisal services to internal business users and asset management services to external customers.

Facilities Management Department, as a key department under Corporate Services,  is responsible for ensuring the reliability of the building and critical facilities of the bank with professional management services to meet business and operational requirements. 


We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Health and Safety Manager.

Principal responsibilities

  • Oversee Regional Health and Safety Performance of the Bank
  • Develop and Drive strategic Health and Safety initiative, plan, programme to support Bank’s service excellence.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME), offer comprehensive solution for all-rounded Health and Safety Matters.
  • Act as Country Health and Safety Co-Ordinator, reporting to HSBC Group.
  • Assure compliance with all applicable local statutory requirements, international standards and group standards. 
  • Lead the service partners to plan, monitor, deliver and advise the feasible approaches on protection to Bank’s employee, customer, visitors, and general public in Hang Seng properties. 
  • Manage the working partners to review, response to any health and safety incident, investigation and provide the recommendation.
  • Work with stakeholders to promote workplace wellness for the Bank from Strategizing to implementation. 
  • Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measure to identify, assess report, mitigate and monitor the risk involved in the day-to day works.
  • Liaise with Business Continuity Incident Management Team to provide the advice and investigation on Health and Safety initiatives.     
  • Engage with Senior Management to foster and promote a robust Health and Safety Culture.
  • Report Health and Safety Performance in the Bank’s Publication.

Qualifications

  • Registered Safety Officer under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors) Regulations.
  • Possession of professional qualification from recognized professional institution in Health and Safety.
Requisitos
  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Management or equivalent.
  • 10 years working experience in sizeable corporations, contracting or consulting firms. Experience in Occupational Health and Safety management is preferred.
  • Solid Knowledge and Experience in ISO14001/ ISO18001/ ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System,
  • Proven experience in delivering Health & Safety initiatives and projects. 
  • Exposure in Bank or Financial Institution is advantageous.
  • Additional experience in areas beyond Occupational Health and Safety is a plus.
  • Good understanding of relevant regulation, policies, procedures , practice and rules. 
  • Strong self-motivation, with excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes. 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent people management skills, and highly independent with ability to interact with multi-cultural teams.
  • Strong sense of risk management.
