This team leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with our business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning, and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement. 

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Hong Kong Employer Brand and Marketing Lead with deep expertise in integrated marketing, audience engagement, and channel optimization. The ideal candidate will develop compelling, data-driven campaigns and collaborate across marketing functions to craft a distinctive value proposition that positions HSBC as the employer of choice for Hong Kong. Passionate about employer branding, they will drive innovative strategies to enhance Hong Kong’s Employer brand perception, attract and retain top talent, and deliver measurable business impact with leadership across Middle East, China and India.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Cultivates Strategic Partnerships: Leads collaborative relationships across Hong Kong Enterprise Talent, Communications, and Customer Marketing teams to uncover opportunities that align with business objectives. Initiates impactful solutions that enhance business performance and attract top-tier talent through a unified Employer Brand proposition, emphasizing brand affinity and measurable outcomes
  • Develops a Distinctive Value Proposition: Crafts a compelling and unique value proposition for Hong Kong, derived from a global platform that is adaptable and tailored to meet the specific needs of individual lines of business. This proposition strengthens competitive positioning and resonates with diverse audiences
  • Leads Comprehensive Marketing Campaigns: Directs the end-to-end management of marketing initiatives, including always-on campaigns, high-impact events, and strategic activations. Ensures seamless execution, underpinned by robust reporting mechanisms, to demonstrate return on investment (ROI), value creation, and alignment with business goals
  • Drives Strategic and Creative Collaboration: Partners with Campaign, Experience, and Creative teams to define and implement strategic and creative direction for Hong Kong. Works closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment, innovation, and delivery of exceptional marketing outcomes
  • Leverages Data-Driven Insights: Utilizes analytics and performance metrics to refine marketing strategies, optimize campaign effectiveness, and provide actionable insights for future initiatives
  • Champion of Brand Excellence: Acts as a steward of the Hong Kong Employer Brand, ensuring consistency, relevance, and differentiation across all touchpoints to elevate brand equity and stakeholder engagement
Requisitos

To be successful you will:

  • Solid experience in branding, marketing and digital; fluency in English and Chinese
  • Executive Stakeholder Management: Experience in building strong partnerships, and creating return on investment and value creation for the business
  • Collaboration & Partnership: Experience working with a number or teams across brand, marketing and communications to drive strategic priorities and outcomes
  • Creativity and Innovative Thinking: The ability to identify, analyse, and stimulate new opportunities, look beyond financial services for ideas to take inspiration from, breaking away from legacy approaches
  • Customer Centricity: The ability to advocate the importance of cross group customer engagement (candidates and employees as customers) and outcomes. Identifies customers' needs to build opportunities for human centric work
  • Financial & Budget Management: Builds plans and budgets which identify value for revenue and opportunities for cost reduction. Draws accurate conclusions from financial information and makes insightful strategic financial decisions in planning and monitoring performance
