Client Risk Manager will sit within the FCCS team and will support the Head of Client Risk Management in the design, management, delivery and optimization of a Non-Financial Risk Management, Risk & Control MI and Governance framework for FCCS and wider IWPB team. This will include owning part of the design, development, creation and delivery of analysis and insights to the IWPB Management team and other key stakeholders in relation to the risk and control environment and future developments that may impact the IWPB strategy.
In this role, you will:
• Support Reporting & governance capability for the FCCS team through a suite of governance packs and commentary for the UAE, Regional and group governance committees ensuring MI is always clear and insightful, calling out any exceptions or areas for discussion focus with relevant people.
• To ensure significant, current and emerging operational risks and internal control issues are escalated appropriately.
• Develop and monitor progress and trends of Key Risk Indicators to provide insights to the management into the risk appetite of the business.
• To monitor performance against the Senior Management scorecard metrics (through effective tracking, monitoring and governance) and define improvement plans if performance does not meet standards
• Oversight on Ops Risk system (Helios) to ensure consistency in reporting and data quality. Provide support to wider IWPB team on Helios queries and data quality issues, review and challenge MI data quality with the Group and region.
• Represent the interests of the UAE IWPB Business in MI & Governance related content design and approach decisions and where required coordinate input to such decisions from across the region.
• Co-ordinate and provide SME knowledge on all MI related projects, migrations and enhancements for FCCS.
• Developing a positive working relationship with all stakeholders and provide them with guidance and feedback where necessary and drive consistency of MI reporting across the business.
• Coordinate audit and regulatory reviews for IWPB ensure timely and accurate responses to requests for information and during walkthrough meeting.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Graduation degree is a must to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
• Deep knowledge of MI & Reporting with previous experience in risk management, internal control, or internal audit, preferably within a banking/financial institution.
• Ability to distil complex and varied information into useful, insightful and concise recommendations.
• Ability to identify, assess and communicate the need for risk management intervention, both as an input to analysis requirements and output from reporting, in complex, fast paced environments.
• A good understanding of Financial Crime, Conduct and Operational Risk with previous experience of implementing and embedding indicators and management reporting across disparate teams and locations.
• Experience of streamlining reporting processes through the identification and implementation of best practice and system and tool improvements.
• Excellent relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills with experience of positive, challenging interactions with senior executives.
• Strong understanding of Risk management tools i.e., Helios, SAMS, etc.
• Ability to work independently and in a global, virtual team.
• Strong communication skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with peer groups.
• Strong organizational, planning, interpersonal, management, negotiation, consultative and verbal and written communications skills.
