We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.
The individual in this role will be responsible for service performance, agreeing SLOs, SLAs and ensuring high service resiliency and stability.Measures, track and improves service operational KPIs (e.g. MTTR, Outages to customer). As an delegate for PSM (Production Services Manager) / ITSO (IT Service Owner) and RCM (Risk and Control Manager) will be accountable for maintaining effective end to end control of the application and associated services across environments (Dev, UAT, Production and Contingency). This includes keeping the system(s), safe, secure, resilient and available via the Functional and Non-Functional delivery workstreams that need to be planned and executed within project/programme delivery team(s).
In this role, you will:
- Service Management Responsibilities:-
- Continually improve the operating environment for production, focusing on reducing toil, improving automation across, using data.
- Work with the application development teams to ensure that they have an effective escalation and support framework in place for all IT production Incidents and one that shall meet the agreed operational and service level agreements of business and our clients.
- Define and implement the production service delivery practices and controls, to ensure our IT services are meeting expectations.
- Produce Service Quality metrics and reports, manage the tracking and monitoring of the Service Quality KPIs.
- Support and promote the awareness and engagement for the IT Service Quality Management, to meet or exceed the targets.
- Drive service review, identify any necessary changes and influence the team to adopt, to make our IT services more resilience.
- ITSO Responsibilities:-
- Work with the ITSO together for ensuring the implemented service meets all necessary functional and nonfunctional requirements, and the transition into the live environment is fully documented in the appropriate system of record.
- Ensure the service continue to meet the customer needs & demands, and takes corrective action where necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, formal service availability reporting against agreed availability targets.
- Ensure continual service improvements throughout the system lifecycle. This includes incremental improvements to the service, corrective measures to recover service performance, and eventually the demise of the Service when it is no longer required.
- RCM Responsibilities:-
- Work along with RCM and ITSO to Coordinate adherence to the risk and compliance agenda for the department, clearly escalating any potential issues well ahead of time. eg. Work with the application teams to ensure that our application services are vulnerability, ICE, resiliency, and contingency testing compliant.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Individual Contributor:
- Solid knowledge on the ITIL Service Management framework.
- Past experience in relevant role, i.e., Application Support or Service Management is desirable.
- A proven track-record of developing and delivering service improvements.
- Good communication skills with individual or group from different location or seniority.
- Self-motivated. Can work independently and under pressure.
- Innovative and able to assess needs and propose solutions.
- Knowledge on Regulatory Trade Reporting or Trade products is preferred.
- Technical:
- Scripting Exposure – Shell scripting, Perl, Python, etc.
- Infrastructure as Code & CICD – Git, Ansible, Jenkins, Rundeck
- Experience in Infrastructure patching, Server Upgrades, Server Migration, Security Vulnerabilities and remediation, etc.
- Exposure to infrastructure observability tools such as Geneos, Elastic stack, Grafana, etc.
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Experience working in investment banking domain with exposure to FX, Equities and Debt Markets.
- Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills.
- Hands on, should not hesitate to use data with scripting or coding to improve the operating environment.
