Corporate Communications

Hang Seng’s Corporate Communications Department formulates and executes compelling communications programmes that promote the Bank’s corporate image, products and services. It monitors public opinions about the Bank and ensures important messages are conveyed in a timely and effective manner, both internally and externally. The Department also helps safeguard Hang Seng’s brand and position as the leading domestic bank in Hong Kong by advising on reputational matters and strengthening relationships with its stakeholders.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Corporate Communications Department as Internal Comms and Engagement Manager.

As a key member of the team, the Internal Comms and Engagement Manager is expected to plan, manage and execute internal communications campaigns independently, aligning with our objective which is to connect, inspire and engage our people. Supported by the Senior Manager, the role holder should be able to set clear communication objectives for each individual campaign, helping our people to understand the Bank’s purpose and values, mission, business strategies, as well as the vision of the senior leaders. 

The role holder is expected to produce high quality content while being able to plan, organize and execute internal communications campaigns and events end to end.


Principal responsibilities

Corporate and Culture

  • Develop engaging content around the Bank’s strategic priorities and embed them into key internal communications campaigns
  • Lead the development of creative and compelling stories/ programmes across multiple formats including but not limited to written, visual, video and audio communications     
  • Lead end-to-end internal activation of corporate and business initiatives via various internal communications channels – from content development, designs, event execution (including speeches, blog, post, news etc), to measurement and reporting
  • Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to ensure consistency in corporate narrative/ messaging
  • Support content development, staff communications and event management in results announcements/ development of annual report

Talent and Engagement

  • Promote the Bank’s Employer Value Proposition (EVP) and position it as an employer of choice internally. Develop compelling stories on workplace and creative campaign to showcase employee experience/ stories
  • Support staff engagement in CSR initiatives in partnership with Community Investment. Promote and engage people via the Bank’s community work and volunteering programmes
  • Lead the planning and execution of key staff events, with wholistic internal communications and engagement planning to build awareness and create excitement

Channel Management

  • Internal Communications team is the owner of all internal communications channels. Responsible for internal communications infrastructure development: review and edit the structure, layout, format, usage of intranet, staff app and other communications channels
  • Maintain and upgrade our internal communications channels 
  • Co-develop and manage internal communications calendar 
  • Track and evaluate the effectiveness of various channels on monthly basis. Compile monthly internal communications report

Content support

  • Support Chinese content development for the Corporate Communication Department as a whole
  • Work with the English Writer to ensure quality delivery of all corporate content
Requisitos
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • A self-motivated individual with at least 7 years of relevant experience in campaign/content development, event management, or channel/community management
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in Chinese and English
  • Experience in working closely with senior stakeholders, and be able to take on an advisory role in communications
  • Banking experience will be a plus
